erin & matt - may 26, 2007

seriously. i think i have the best job, being able to photograph and capture the essence of each individual wedding day. i have been so lucky to share these special times with fantastic couples. my weddings this month have been incredible, and erin and matt's day was no exception. it was infectious to be around a couple who is so absolutely crazy about each other, and they kept me laughing so much that my cheeks hurt by the end of the day.

they had a brunch in the morning at the home of one of the bridesmaids (after the guys went golfing) and here are erin and matt goofing around with her veil:

april & patrick - may 19, 2007

april and patrick were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous wedding day. in her toast, the maid of honor mentioned how april was worried that something was going to go wrong, but none of her fears came true and the day was practically perfect in every way. even the rain that was predicted for the whole day held off until everyone was safe and sound inside at the reception. everyone was so easy-going and fun to photograph that it made it really hard for me to be able to only select a few for the blog. i keep telling myself that is a good problem to have :-)

teresa & tim - may 12, 2007

as much as i love the part of my job where i get to meet new couples and make new friends, it is always nice when i get to be part of the special day of someone i have been friends with for a long time. i met teresa back when we worked at a small local newspaper where i was a photojournalist and she was a designer. it happens to be the same local newspaper where tim and teresa met when he got a job as a reporter there. teresa is one of the sweetest girls i know and it came as no surprise how much i would like tim when i met him. their personalities are a perfect complement to one another and it is so great to see how happy they are together.

i know this may be the most boring blog picture i have posted, but there is a great story behind it. in the afternoon on the wedding day, it rained. their pastor suggested that they collect some of the rain water and save it for the baptism when they have a child. i just thought that was such a wonderful idea, and so did tim and teresa:
