angela & kevin - august 18, 2006

kevin & angela were married at the fantastic noerenberg memorial gardens in wayzata. i fall in love with every wedding i shoot, but this one holds a special place in my heart. angie and i have known each other since we were five years old and it was an incredible honor for me to be able to capture her day for her and her wonderful groom. her mother is a wedding florist, and an amazing one at that. we used to have pretend weddings in the backyard with the poor neighborhood boys, so it was really neat to see where our lives have taken us and how all that practice when we were young was totally worth it...

here's the happy couple after seeing each other for the first time at the boathouse overlooking lake minnetonka:

not only were there views of the lake, there were gorgeous columns:

and the gardens themselves weren't too shabby either... look at all that color:

not only did she have mother of the bride duties, kris had time to create this stunning boquet for her daughter:

the father of the bride helping the father of the groom with his tie:

the gals waiting for the ceremony to begin:

angela and her dad making a grand entrance:

the vows:

the happy and emotional parents:

i now pronounce you husband and wife:

hugs all around:

angie being her usual funny self:

their first dance:

angela & kevin, i am so happy you found each other. looking back through my pictures, i am amazed at how happy you are with each other just shows in every shot. thank you for letting me be a part of such a special day.

lindsey & weston - august 12, 2006

lindsey & weston were married at the owatonna arts center on one of the most perfect days in an otherwise hot and muggy summer. i think it is one of the coolest venues for a wedding in southern minnesota. i have to confess that i am a little biased (this is where my husband and i got married, too)

here's weston relaxing with some of his groomsmen:

one of the flower girls posing with one of the photographs on exhibit at the arts center:

a fun pic with lindsey with both of her flower girls:

the happy bride & her dad just before they walk down the aisle:

i told you it was a beautiful place for a wedding...the stained glass and tile floors are simply gorgeous:

just married:

the outside of the building at west hills is just as cool as the inside:

a cute portrait of lindsey. her flowers are almost as stunning as she is...almost:

hanging out in front of the building:

arriving at the reception:

every time i turned my head, it seemed that one of their flower girls was doing something funny or cute. here's just some more proof:

like i mentioned before, it was an absolutely perfect day. a perfect day for a perfect couple. congratulations to lindsey & weston and their families.

erin & mike, august 5, 2006

erin & mike were married at the rural st. paul's church in meriden (don't blink or you'll miss it) the church was rebuilt after a fire a few years ago destroyed the old one. i have a soft spot for country churches and even though this one is newer, i love shooting there.

this is so girly of me, but i am kind of a sucker for
cool shoe shots:

here's a pic of Erin. i just love her hair. very much a funky, modern audrey hepburn kind of 'do:

a view from the back:

the guys were a lot of fun and were good sports. when I mentioned taking a goofy picture in the cornfield by the church, they didn't hesitate for a second. what photographer doesn't love a group with a sense of humor?

the ringbearer liked cuddling up with his ring pillow:

striking a pose:

a couple casual portraits of the couple:

enjoying the first dance.

have a great honeymoon and best wishes, and good luck with the new house!
