karen & nick - november 17, 2007
if karen looks familiar, it might be because she was the maid of honor at april and patrick's wedding in may. i have mentioned before in the blog that i love seeing how weddings bring people together and that i often get to see familiar faces. i found out that karen and nick even met each other at a wedding. here's a few favorite portraits:
the groomsmen:
and bridesmaids:
hooray for shoes:
i love this picture of karen securing her veil. the details on her dress are amazing and her mother made her veil:
matron of honor april watching her friend get ready:
karen's heirloom handkerchief
as always, kris amazi's beautiful flower arrangements:
the grandmas having a good laugh before the ceremony begins:
hunter mugging for the camera:
the unity candle:
all smiles down the aisle:
we stopped at the steele county historical society's village of yesteryear for some pictures between the ceremony and reception:
the cake:
karen is a really talented scrapbooker and so good at crafts and designing. there were lots of really neat details at their wedding and i found out that a lot of the favors and decorations were things she did herself, like these favor boxes:
and the guestbook
the speeches and toasts:
karen's friend katie put together a slideshow that the group really enjoyed:
hunter really got a kick out of it, too:
the first dance:
here's the lucky little guy who caught the garter...i couldn't resist getting a shot of him, red punch mustache and all. how cute:
congratulations, nick and karen. all the best to you and may you have all sorts of fun scrapbooking your wedding and win at every card night ;-) :
