kelly & pete - may 10, 2008

i had been looking forward to kelly and pete's wedding since i met with them last summer. since that time i had a blast at our sub-zero engagement session and i have been the recipient of hilarious emails from them. these two have such upbeat, infectious personalities and senses of humor that make them a joy to be around. when it came to the big day, it was even more fun than i could have imagined.

it was one of those on-and-off rainy spring days, but amazingly it stopped when we went over by lake minnetonka for some outdoor pictures. here are some of pete and kelly for starters:

how 'bout some details... here are kelly's wicked sweet shoes:

pete works in law enforcement, so how could we not incorporate that into a ring shot?

their first moment together:

the wedding party:

not long after that shot was taken, a train came through:

the ceremony at saint joseph the worker catholic church in maple grove:

they said their own personal vows to each other during the ceremony:

woo hoo. wife and husband!

they were total rockstars and we got a couple extra shots at the wellstead of rogers before they were introduced at the reception:

this cake topper cracked me up...

especially after we shot this picture earlier that day. then she caught him a delicious bass:

the toasts:

just as the first dance was about to start, the music suddenly changed to 'canned heat' and kelly and pete and got their groove on:

after their tour-de-force performance, they shared one more dance:

congratulations and thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding. i had a killer time :-)

concert for corey - saturday may 17

http://www.myspace.com/coreycregerbenefit

from the myspace page for the benefit:
As a way of honoring and remembering Corey we will be holding an extraordinary benefit concert at the Faribault High School on May 17th, 2008 from 12 noon - 10 pm. There will be a variety of live bands, silent auction, concessions and merchandise for sale.

Money raised from the concert will be used to develop a Fine Arts Scholarship (which currently does not exist) at the Faribault High School. Corey, a 2007 FHS graduate, had a passion for the arts...with your help this tribute will honor her talents and her memory for many years to come!

For more information and/or to offer assistance please contact: CLCBenefitshow@gmail.com

i consider myself so fortunate to have been able to meet and take pictures of corey. for every senior who books their appointment from now until the end of june (appointments may be scheduled for later in the summer or fall) i will be making a donation to the scholarship in corey's memory.
