jamie & matt - may 24, 2008
i am always honored when i am asked to capture a wedding for a couple. it means something really special when i am asked by a fellow photographer. jamie's dad, tim, is a talented photographer who i used to work for and who i consider a mentor. i bought my first (all-manual film) camera from him for my introductory photography class in college and he is also the one that shot my wedding five years ago. back then he said he would shoot mine if i would shoot his daughter's when she got married. needless to say, i was so excited and flattered when i heard that jamie was engaged and i finally got to shoot for their family.
here's some of jamie & matt:
the groom, working on his tux:
jamie's mom helping her with the final touches:
i can't help but smile when i see matt's expression as he sees jamie for the first time:
the wedding party:
who does the best zoolander? the boys:
or the girls?
this might be one of my favorites. a moment between jamie and her dad, tim, before he escorts her down the aisle:
the ceremony at bethel:
the new mr. and mrs.!
after the ceremony, they had a lovely afternoon reception at the owatonna country club. here are some of the toasts to the couple:
when they got these cute bride and groom rubber duckies, they just had to be used in a ring shot:
congratulations, jamie & matt. thank you for letting me share a part of your day:
